Fun and a huge success – The 2016 Fundraiser

We’ve just got back from our 2016 Fundraiser and it was an absolute success, and by all accounts a really fun night.

With the incredible efforts of our hosts and event organisers Sara Curtain and Pip Andrew giving a talk
Robbinson, over $1500 was raised for the next HELP workshops that are taking place this October/November.  It was a fantastic event that was thoroughly enjoyed by all accounts.

The main-event of the evening was a comprehensive presentation by Andrew McLean which delved into the myriad of issues facing elephants in Southeast Asia, covering everything from the amazing cognitive ability of elephants to their ethicological needs and where the existing systems fail. He finished with the planned projects HELP has in the works and where we’re hoping the future will take us.

Sara Andrew and PipAfterwards, there was a Q/A session and everyone enjoyed another serving of the wine, cheese and deserts that were in abundance.

The HELP team would like to sincerely thank each of you that came on the night. Your support is invaluable and directly impacts the welfare of the elephants we will now be able to work with, which you will be able to see on our future videos and images.

Also, to Pip Robbinson and Sara Curtain, thank you once again for putting on such a brilliant evening. We couldn’t have dreamt up a more entertaining and smoothly run event.

-The Help Team.
